Her mother was Cynthia Louise Bissett vice president of mobile provider Verizon. Joseph Anthony Germanotta Jr. was director of a company that runs an internet networking system. The girl was raised as a Catholic in the city of Manhattan's Upper East Side. The parents of her were enrolled at the Convent of the Sacred Heart an institution of the religious elite. Music was her passion as a small toddler. She learned how to play a keyboard, and, at age thirteen, wrote her first music. She participated in open-mic nights. She was a huge fan of Queen Michael Jackson Madonna as well as David Bowie. When she finished high school she attended into the Tisch School of Art at New York University to study music. Her studies did not go through. study, but left the school to start her career in music.
